Brinda Thangada

Brinda Thangada joined Cisco in May 2022 and is currently the Communications Manager for ONEx Business Insights. In her role, Brinda is primarily responsible for building a holistic communications strategy for the team, supporting leaders with effective storytelling, and managing key initiatives such as quarterly All Hands and Showcases. As part of her experience as a Cisco employee, she very much enjoys getting involved with the various Inclusive Communities that helped make Cisco home for her. Brinda is dedicated to elevating women’s voices across the business and now serves as the Marketing & Communications Co-Lead for the Women of Cisco US Board. Additionally, Brinda provided DEI Communications support for her division’s Inclusion & Collaboration team during her first year, and she is now embarking on a new adventure as a member of the Learning & Careers Advisory Board where she will have a voice in the future direction of learning at Cisco. Before Cisco, Brinda operated within the higher education, healthcare, and tech industries, designing global communications strategies across HR, IT, Compliance & Risk, Legal, M&A, Finance, and other business units. Her passion for thoughtfully elevating people’s stories and driving change within high-impact teams has been a constant throughout her career. Although Brinda is originally from New Orleans, LA, she now resides in Chicago, IL where she is soaking up all that the city has to offer – including the icy winters! In her free time, she enjoys riding a bike down the Chicago Lakefront Trail, catching the next Broadway musical on tour, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity (an organization she fell in love with after Hurricane Katrina hit her hometown), or simply enjoying a warm cup of coffee with family and friends.
